Practice

Jane joined RWBH as an associate in 2010. She articled with the firm from 2009-2010 after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Jane’s legal practice spans all manners of labour and employment law. Her work includes representing clients in grievance arbitration, professional discipline proceedings, long-term disability appeals, workplace human rights matters, wrongful dismissal cases and labour board hearings. She also has experience working on judicial review applications and other court proceedings.

Education

At law school, Jane volunteered and completed the clinical legal education program at the Community Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP), a legal aid clinic where she worked on a test case at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal involving the disclosure of Mental Health Act records as part of employment screening. She served on the Board at CLASP as well as co-chairing the Mental Health Police Records Check Coalition, of which she remains a member.

Prior to law school, Jane obtained a combined honours degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters degree in Philosophy at the University of Victoria.

Other

Jane enjoys an active lifestyle, including snowboarding, running, and mountain biking and currently sits as a board member of St. Simon’s Shelter in Toronto. She is a member of the CBA, OBA and CALL
