Practice
Devon joined RWBH as an associate in 2011. He articled with the firm in 2010/11 after his
graduation from Dalhousie Law School with an LL.B.
Devon’s practice includes all aspects of labour and employment law, including grievance
arbitration, wrongful dismissal litigation, workplace human rights complaints and Labour
Relations Board matters. Devon has also been involved in preparation for judicial reviews
before the Divisional Court and actions before the Superior Court of Justice.
Education
Devon was deeply involved in the Environmental Law Students’ Society at Dalhousie and
as both Vice-Chair and Co-Chair worked to build awareness of both the legal and social
justice aspects of environmental protection. Over summers he conducted legal research
with the Marine and Environmental Law Institute focused especially on the development of
the international oceanic law regime.
Before entering law school, Devon obtained a joint honours Bachelor of Arts degree
majoring in Political Studies and Ancient Greek and Roman Studies from Trent University in
2007.
