Practice

Adrienne Liang first joined RWBH in 2007 as an articling student after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School. She became an associate lawyer with the firm after her Call to the Bar in 2008.

During her articles with the firm, Adrienne also worked with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union’s General Counsel in the Union’s legal department, gaining unique insight into public service labour relations as well as the administration and operation of trade unions.

Adrienne’s legal practice spans all manners of labour and employment law. Her work includes representing clients in grievance arbitration, professional discipline proceedings, long-term disability appeals, workplace human rights matters, wrongful dismissal cases and labour board hearings. She also has experience working on judicial review applications and other court proceedings.

During her legal studies, Adrienne volunteered at the Community Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP) and worked as a caseworker in the Immigration and Refugee Division of Parkdale Community Legal Services as part of the Intensive Programme in Poverty Law. In 2005, Adrienne spent a term at the National University of Singapore’s law school on an academic exchange.

Prior to law school, Adrienne studied political science at McGill University in Montreal and participated in a bilingual study programme on post-Soviet politics in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia, through l'Université du Québec à Montréal.
